U.S Marshals Capture DelCo Pair Wanted On Attempted Homicide Charge In Chester

A Delaware County duo wanted on attempted homicide charges was captured by members of the US Marshals Service in Chester, authorities said Wednesday.

Eunique Mays and Dashon McManus are accused of stabbing a victim on July 12 around 10 a.m. at the Willow Gardens Apartments in the 1100 block of Dorian Court, according to the City of Chester Police Department.

Arriving officers found the victim lying on the ground with a stab wound. They were rushed to Crozer Chester Medical Center.

The stab wound struck the victim's liver and diaphragm, authorities said.

Investigators were able to recover a bloody six-inch kitchen knife at the crime scene, authorities said.

After being identified as a suspect, McManus was taken into custody by U.S Marshals on Aug. 11 in the 1200 block of West 9th Street, authorities said. She was found hiding in a bedroom closet.

The investigation also identified Mays as a suspect. She was taken into custody by U.S Marshals on Aug. 13 in the 1100 block of West Tioga Street in Philadelphia, authorities said. She was found hiding in a bathroom.

McManus was arraigned on Aug. 12 by District Judge Lacianca, and her bail was set at 10 percent of $750,000.

Mays was arraigned on Aug. 13 by District Judge Davis, and was denied bail. 

 McManus and Mays were both committed to George W. Hill Correctional Facility where they will await their preliminary hearing scheduled for Aug. 25.
